WHAT THE VAULT HOLDS

Daja’s Vault is a sacred space for creation — a digital sanctuary where art breathes, evolves, and reveals itself without limits. Born from the depths of a curious mind and a fearless heart, this platform exists to hold every sketch, every story, every fragment of light that creativity dares to gift me.

Here, I share not perfection, but process. Not polish, but presence.

It is a home for artists, dreamers, and wanderers of thought — a vault where every idea is worthy, and every soul is welcome.

This is more than a portfolio. It is proof that imagination deserves to live out loud.

I’m currently accepting art commissions! Whether you’re looking for custom portraits, illustrations, or something uniquely you, I’d love to bring your vision to life.

The art of getting lost

What Does Standing Out Look Like When You’re Still Becoming?

When you truly stand out, it's a moment that has accumulated over time through work that you've done even when no one was watching. If I ever feel lost I tell myself that no one is watching because it isn't my time yet to stand out. It reminds me not to be too hard on myself whenever I fail or am unsure of the decisions I should make. I tell myself to keep moving forward no matter what. I am just at the start of my life and I have many things to experience and learn. Every now and again I will succeed and I will have moments where I stanc out but the moment I truly stand out is when all the work l've done has gotten me to where I want to be in life. I believe that I will make it there as long as I continue this balance and maintain my ability to adapt to new situations or even just put myself out there. I have never modeled before and even last year I would've said no to doing this but as I progress in life, l'm starting to get comfortable with standing out.

Neglecting your moment to stand out is turning your back on the work you've put into building yourself up until that point. It's stopping you from your growth. Now I'm not saying model or do anything crazy especially without thinking things through but it's always good to keep an open mind, explore possibilities and grab hold of opportunities that present themselves to you. If you always maintain your focus and self-awareness of who you are and the path you are on, you will never be lost. Sometimes you'll just be waiting for an opportunity to present itself whether that's offered to you or you take things into your own hands.

Thank you so much to Josh, Kiehl, Ian, Mathew, and Alleesha Lindenmuth, my three amigos. What we pulled off in one day was really a month of planning, trust, and teamwork. None of this would have happened without you.

Every ounce of credit goes to you for showing up, locking in, and believing in the vision. I’m so grateful for each of you. We really did that.

And a special shoutout to Paulette Williams for being an amazing stylist and putting all the looks together.

Thank you all for bringing the vision to life.

“A Boy in a Dream”

Lil Boi Blues – Part 3

A boy caught between wonder and worry. Drifting through silence, dazed by questions too big to ask out loud about love, about time, about who he’s supposed to become. He dreams, he doubts, he drifts. Some say it’s just a phase. But to him, it feels like forever.

“Orange Boi Still Blue”

Lil Boi Blues – Part 5

To be a Black man in America is to wear orange — bold, loud, seen — while carrying the weight of blue. This piece holds the tension between visibility and vulnerability, performance and pain.

Orange is the armor.

Blue is the truth.

“Colorful Lady”

Lil Boi Blues – Part 7

We all can’t be blue.

My grandma calls me her sunshine says I shine bright as yellow.

Some days I’m orange with fire. Other days I’m soft lilac, fading slow.

I change with the weather of my mood.

But somehow, I always seem blue.

DAJA’S ART SHOOT!

a visual diary by Daja Haleem

I just want to take a moment to say thank you! truly, from the bottom of my heart. What started as a vision. Like a dream I carried quietly for so long, became real because of you. Your talent, dedication, patience, and belief in this project breathed life into something that once only lived in my mind. I’m deeply humbled and beyond grateful to have shared this journey with you. This isn’t just my vision it’s ours now. Thank you for helping me build something so special.

This was more than a shoot…it was art in motion, stillness in color, and a family behind the frame.

About Me

Hi, I’m Daja Haleem.

I’m an artist guided by instinct and emotion—whatever’s on my mind, that’s where the art begins. Some days it’s a drawing, other days it’s a painting, a photoshoot, or a short film. I don’t box myself in. I create to express, to release, and to reflect. My work is less about perfection and more about presence. I let my feelings speak through colors, light, texture, and movement. Art, for me, is a way to document the unseen those quiet moments, wild thoughts, or emotions that don’t always have words. ’m constantly learning, constantly shifting. Every piece I share is a part of that journey. Thank you for taking a moment to experience it with me.
